Gina Photoshoot

Another great Myspace find! I really need to schedule a shoot with Crystal to thank her for pointing me in the direction of Myspace, it has helped me find not only more people to shoot with, but great people to shoot with! Gina was born about 30 years too late. She has the spirit of a pinup with an angel face. Back in the day that would have been a killer combo! Of course it’s still a great combination, as you can see. As we were shooting we came up with tons more ideas. Hopefully we’ll shoot again very soon!
This shoot was very challenging: I’d gotten some bright colored backdrops on ebay which I thought would go perfect with this shoot. The problem was that they came folded. It’s a strange kind of material, and the folds definitely showed. I like how we got creative with the furniture (hopefully you can’t tell we used our coffee table as a prop) but that backdrop killed me, no matter how I tried to blur the depth of field. The silver lining is that I get to work on my Photoshop skills, especially masks. This is the whole reason to be shooting TFP with all of these people: to learn not just photography, but all the skills that go with it! I touched up some for Gina but wasn’t satisfied with how the yellow backdrop looked. I’m only including the one because I like how Gina looks and as a point of reference someday.
The other pictures we took were great! We grabbed the blue dress Amanda wore to our wedding and it looked great on Gina. Throw in a bouquet of roses and you’ve got some great images!
